We weren’t really sure what we expected to find at Alby. For me, the craft Centre part of the name was a bit of a put off, but I was wrong. We spent a very enjoyable hour or so pottering around the various artist workshops and galleries before heading out into the garden. We couldn’t quite believe our lucky with this October sunshine! The gardens cost £2.50 each to enter, but it was well worth the money – the gardens were beautiful – very enjoyable to step through, even this late in the year. I can only begin to imagine…

Although we’ve been travelling up to East Runton for over a year now, this is our first visit to the Pretty Corner Tea Gardens. And we were not disappointed. The weather improved just as we sat down at one of the terrace tables (unfortunately right next to a door which lead to, what we assume was a dishwasher, so there was a little unwanted noise, but not enough to detract from the experience. Me, Abby and Littley went back to Constantia Cottage for a second time, and we were not disappointed! The food is nice, but the welcome is incredible! On both occasions, Littley was allowed to dance on the dancefloor to the greek soundtrack. Because there was not a special greek night on, she had the dancefloor to herself!
