Lovely afternoon at Oxburgh Hall

We had never been to Oxburgh before but fell upon it as we drove past whilst avoiding a lengthy traffic diversion. After looking it up when we got how, we avowed to stop by on the way home next time. It is conveniently (for us) located a few miles from xxx and not too far from the A10.

Our next visit to Waverley was the October half-term. We’d had pretty good weather so far and were blessed again when we arrived in the small car park at Oxburgh.

Although a National Trust property, it is not a particularly busy one (at least not when we visited!). Car parking is free and there is a choice of a takeaway food shack outside, or a sit-in cafe once you enter the courtyard. Both sell the standard NT fare of sausage rolls and sandwiches, coffee and cakes etc. plus a selection of made-to-order meals in the courtyard cafe.
